Like all vampires of True Blood canon, Godric can do this fun thing called Glamouring, which is kind of like hypnosis, but is more or less the Imperious curse with a dash of Obliviate if we're being honest. Either way, it gets iffy on the consent level real quick.

With eye contact, Godric can essentially bend a person's will to his own, inducing them to answer questions honestly, convince them of something, or even actively do something he wants them to do. He can then make them forget it ever happened, or remember a different version of events.

Please note that this isn't something he cares to do often these days, and even back in the day he mostly used it for practical purposes as opposed to anything truly deviant. But he's still perfectly capable of it, and under the right circumstances he's not wholly above using it.

Long-term effects of consistent glamouring can damage a human's mind enough that they become... well, kind of a dingbat. That's not a likely outcome with how rarely Godric is inclined to glamour anyone, but full disclosure.

Canonly, telepaths cannot be glamoured, nor can some other supernatural species. If your character is supernatural or more than baseline human, it's completely reasonable to assume that they can't be glamoured.
